Read on for some insight into the Fuse events happening throughout the year. For a list of 2012 dates and topics, click the event tab at the top of this website.

Lunch Panels

At our Lunch Panel events, learn from three to four experts in a given area about a topic that is timely and relevant to young people. Panelists are selected based on their knowledge and experience in the topic area. Topics are selected based on feedback from Fuse members, the Events Action Team and the Leadership Council. There are typically four lunch events per year, which run from 11:45-1:00pm at various locations, announced about a month in advance to the event.

Topics on Tap

Topics on Tap are events designed to offer Fusers the opportunity to learn more about policies and issues that interest and impact them. The goal of the events is not merely to educate, but to engage the audience in lively discussion and debate. At each event, a group of expert panelists in the field of discussion are assembled to speak on their views and engage with the audience on issues affecting our area.

Special Events

Fuse has a number of "Special Events" including: the College Connection Kickoff, Zenith Social Media Conference, Regional Y-Pro Conference, Speed Networking, College Connection Wrap-Up, Beachfront Blues, Fuse Birthday Bash, and Newer to Town.

The Birthday Bash
This is a big one for us! We celebrate another year of Fuse with great food, a cake contest, the ever-popular prize wall, and a mix of other fun activities that over the years have included such highlights as salsa lessons, a wii golf contest and a growler walk! The cost coincides with our age, so in 2013, it'll be $8, which is quite a deal for all the fun. You won't want to miss it!

The Zenith Social Media Marketing Conference
This awesome annual event was the brainchild of Fuse, and it gets bigger and better every year. In 2012, it'll be outstanding. Join us for a full-day event, featuring exciting speakers and hot topics across a range of social media marketing issues. Tracks for beginners and more advanced content will help you fine-tune session offerings to your goals.

Newer to Town
You know how it is-- you move to a new area, or just start a new job, and it takes a long time to learn the ropes. And even longer to feel at home. Making friends and networking connections can go a long way toward reaching that point. Newer to Town is a structured networking event that will help Fusers who are newer to the area, their jobs, or to the Fuse program, get plugged right in with minimal awkward social pressure. Seasoned Fusers are welcome as well! It's usually a 50/50 mix of new and old, but 100 percent mix of awesomesauce.

Beachfront Blues
Rooftop Blues takes a trip to the beach, and we promise you won't be cryin' in your beer! This year's annual blues-themed event is being held on glorious Park Point, at the Park Point Beach House. Prepare for epic fun, relaxation, and great music and food in an all-new Lakeside setting.

Fuse Regional Y-Pro Conference
Why? Because the interest in professional development topics specific to the 20-40 crowd has been overwhelming, and there's so much to cover that we decided to build a half-day conference event! We're taking over Zeitgeist Arts' sparkling Teatro Zuccone and Zinema spaces in downtown Duluth for a full docket of sessions and info that are ALL about Fusers!
